LinkedIn Feed Cleaner ("the extension") is a browser extension that hides unwanted post types from your LinkedIn feed using local pattern matching.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, page content, or usage analytics.

What is stored

The extension stores only your filter toggle preferences (e.g. which post categories you have chosen to hide) using Chrome's storage.sync API. This data:

• Stays on your device and in your own Chrome sync account.
• Is never sent to any server operated by the developer or any third party.
• Can be cleared at any time by clicking "Reset to Defaults" in the popup or by removing the extension.

What the extension accesses

The extension runs only on linkedin.com pages. It reads the text content of feed posts in your browser to match them against built-in regex patterns and hide the matching posts. This processing happens entirely locally in your browser. No post text or page content ever leaves your device.

Permissions explained

• storage — to remember your filter toggles between sessions.
• activeTab / scripting — to apply filtering to the currently open LinkedIn tab when you click Apply.
• host permission for linkedin.com — to run the content script that hides posts on your feed.

Third parties

None. The extension makes no network requests.
